Letter of Recommendation
Dear Sir or Madam,
As you are looking at Genesis Contracting for a possible future project, I have to offer you my congratulations. Genesis is an excellent company and a fine business partner.
Twelve years ago, Hawthorne was a small government technical service company when it first joined with Genesis on a construction project. The project was to build two aviation fuel facilities at Fort Bragg. Hawthorne was in a very precarious, over leveraged position at the time. The result was a success only because of the integrity, skills and hard work of the Genesis Team. Since then, Hawthorne/Genesis has completed over $25 million in fuel facility construction for Hawthorne. These are complex tasks involving frequent change orders. The facilities include aviation fuel facilities: fuel storage, bulk receipt and issue facilities, large vehicle dispensing facilities (including tactical), airport hydrant systems, roads, civil engineering, various laboratory and control buildings. In all Hawthorne construction activities Genesis has been 100% in charge of day to day control of the projects.
Genesis excels in planning and control – and, communication. The latter point, communication, is very important when a project involves the Department of Defense. Genesis taught Hawthorne a great deal in this regard.
As president and owner of Hawthorne I came to depend on Matt Roller and his team to get the job done and keep the on site customer happy. Genesis has made a great many friends within the Department of Defense as they came to realize the fine qualities of the company. As far as Hawthorne is concerned, I know that our relationship with Genesis was a key element to the growth of the company. I should state that Hawthorne is now a part of the billion-dollar Louis Berger Engineering Group – and Genesis is still a vital component to the company.
The entire Hawthorne Team considers Genesis to be a business partner – not a subcontractor. Despite the complexity and size of these projects I can attest to the fact that there has never once been an issue on Genesis following up on an item that required attention. They are in this business for the long haul.
Matt Roller, Brent White and the whole Geneses Team are to be congratulated on the fine record they have built over the years. Genesis is a top-notch outfit and without question the best business partner I have seen in 40 years of doing business.

Thanks for the exceptional job you and your crew did removing our old gas tank and pump and installing our new equipment. You and your staff were very easy to communicate with and very professional and we were informed of you plans and methods on a daily basis. The job was accomplished in a timely manner and exceeded the contract specs. Also, your staff did a great job of cleaning up and seeding the lawn around the excavated area and always did more than asked of them. Thanks again for a great job.
Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:
Recently Genesis Contracting completed a project for the City of Midland’s Jack Barstow Airport involving removal of three underground fuel tanks and installation of two new underground tanks. We are very pleased with the outcome of the project and the cooperation of Genesis.
Genesis is quite knowledgeable with industry standards for all aspects of a tank replacement project from fuel equipment purchasing to proper tank installation techniques.
Based on our experience, we are pleased to recommend Genesis Contracting for work of this nature in your community.
Sincerely,

Subject: Letter of Reference / Recommendation
1. For the past 3 months, Genesis, Inc. has been providing their knowledge and expertise in the construction of a multifunctional wash rack system. Fred Basham, Matthew Roller and all of the Genesis associates exhibited the “esprit de corps” that we at Marines have come to expect. This rare quality is not a common trait normally associated with many of today’s larger companies and corporations, and was a refreshing change. Due to no fault of their own, the project team was challenged with several site problems early on, but continued to demonstrate their knowledge and quick thinking on a a daily basis.
2. While in operation, this system will enable the Marines of Company C to keep all of the Heavy Equipment and Motor Transport Assets in a clean and “mission ready” state, while continuing to be environmentally safe. I would personally like to extend my thanks to all of the Genesis team for a job well done. Their expertise, “can do” attitude, and attention to detail reflect great credit upon themselves, and are in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Marine Corps.
3. I have personally been involved in numerous similar projects from California to Okinawa, Japan. Based on those experiences, I feel confident in recommending Genesis, Inc. for any environmental construction projects.
